Making Fire Sit Properly on Small Blocks
In vanilla Minecraft, fire placed on top of slabs, fences, and similar small
blocks floats awkwardly above the surface instead of resting on it. Tightfire Mod corrects this by lowering the fire so it visually touches the block it sits on.
What Changes
- Fire position: Fire no longer hovers above small
blocks. It drops down to sit flush against the block surface. - Hitbox: The clickable and collision area of the fire is enlarged to match its new lowered shape, so interacting with it feels natural.
- Supported
blocks: Slabs and fences are the primary
blocks this applies to. - Mod compatibility: Other mods that add small flammable
blocks are also supported, so fire attaches correctly to them too.
Why It Matters
Floating fire looks out of place in builds. This mod keeps fire visually grounded on the blocks you actually use it on, without changing how fire behaves otherwise. No new items or recipes are added — it is purely a visual and hitbox fix.
