Understand How Threat Levels Trigger Different Music

The Threat System

Threat Music Mod dynamically changes music based on nearby entities and danger levels, mimicking Rain World's system. The closer you are to hostile mobs, the more intense the music becomes.

How It Works

1. The mod scans for entities around you constantly

2. Hostile or dangerous mobs increase your threat level

3. As threat rises, the music transitions to more intense variants

4. When threats disappear, music gradually returns to ambient or exploration themes

5. Different regions have different threat music compositions

What Affects Threat Level

  • Proximity to hostile mobs (distance matters)
  • Number of nearby threats
  • Mob type and danger classification
  • Mod entities are supported, so custom mobs work too

Tips

  • Threat music is client-side only, so it won't affect multiplayer gameplay
  • Music transitions are smooth and atmospheric
  • Moving away from danger will gradually reduce threat levels and calm the music
