Thread Tweak Mod Guide

Adjusting CPU Thread Scheduling

Thread Tweak Mod gives you control over how Minecraft assigns work across your CPU threads. Instead of letting the game handle scheduling on its own, you can change thread priorities while the game is running, without restarting.

This matters most in heavily modded setups, where many background tasks compete for the same CPU time. By raising or lowering the priority of specific threads, you can influence which tasks get processed first. That can smooth out stutters caused by uneven task distribution.

The mod is aimed at advanced users who understand their hardware. It does not add items, blocks, or recipes. It simply exposes scheduling controls that are normally hidden.

If your game runs fine already, you likely do not need this. If you are chasing lag in a large modpack, it is worth experimenting with. Change one setting at a time and observe the effect, since results depend entirely on your CPU and workload.
