View Exact Durability Numbers While Playing

Reading Durability in Your Hotbar

When the durability display is enabled (default), every item with durability will show a number directly on its icon in your hotbar. This number represents how much durability remains before the item breaks.

Glance at your hotbar while mining, fighting, or crafting to instantly see which tools are wearing out without opening your inventory.

Checking Durability in Containers

The same numbers appear on items inside:

• Your inventory
• Chests and other storage blocks
• Crafting tables and furnaces
• Villager trading screens
• Any other container interface

This makes it easy to grab a fresh tool from storage or identify damaged items at a glance. Items with full durability still display their number, so you always know the current state of every tool and weapon.
