When managing multiple tools and weapons, the durability numbers let you spot damaged items instantly without hovering over each one.

Keep the durability display enabled (press B if it's off) and open your inventory or storage. Items with low durability will show smaller numbers compared to full-durability copies of the same tool. Scan across rows to find anything that needs repair or replacement.

Organizing Your Storage

Use the visible durability numbers to:

• Separate nearly-broken items from usable ones
• Quickly locate a fresh pickaxe or sword without checking tooltips
• Plan repairs by seeing at a glance which items are worth mending
• Avoid accidentally equipping a tool that's about to break

This is especially useful in multiplayer or long expeditions where you carry many similar tools. The numbers remove guesswork and save time compared to hovering over every item.
