Set Up Custom Tree Types for Your Server

Configure New Tree Species

Tree Feller can detect and fell trees beyond vanilla Minecraft species. Use the in-game configuration system to add custom tree types quickly.

Access the Configuration Menu

Run /treefeller config to open the in-game configuration interface. This GUI lets you manage tree detection without editing files manually.

Auto-Detect a Custom Tree

1. Navigate to the tree type section in the config menu

2. Select the option to auto-detect a new tree

3. Chop a single log block from your custom tree

4. The plugin scans the tree structure and learns its pattern

5. Save the configuration

Verify Detection

Test your newly configured tree by chopping a log block. The entire tree should fell if detection worked correctly. If only one block falls, the tree structure may not have been recognized—try auto-detecting again with a different tree of the same type.

Reload After Changes

If you edit the configuration file directly, run /treefeller reload to apply changes without restarting the server.
