Debug Tree Felling Issues

Enable Debug Mode for Troubleshooting

When trees aren't felling as expected, debug mode provides detailed information about what the plugin is detecting and why.

Turn On Debug Mode

Run /treefeller debug on to enable global debug logging. This mode outputs extensive information about tree detection, structure analysis, and felling attempts to the console and your chat.

Read Debug Output

When you chop a log block with debug enabled, you'll see:

  • Whether the block was recognized as part of a tree
  • The detected tree structure and connected blocks
  • Why the tree feller did or didn't activate
  • Any permission or cooldown restrictions applied

Disable Debug Mode

Run /treefeller debug off when finished troubleshooting. Debug output can be verbose and may impact performance if left on permanently.

Common Issues

If a tree won't fell, check whether it matches a configured tree type, whether you have the required permissions, and whether a cooldown is active on your account or that tree type.
