Why Cauldrons Are Better

With Thirsty Bottles Mod installed, filling bottles directly from water source blocks will consume that block. Cauldrons offer a sustainable alternative—they hold multiple fills without being destroyed, making them ideal for a renewable water supply.

Building Your Water Farm

1. Place cauldrons in a convenient location near your base

2. Fill them with water using a bucket or rain (cauldrons fill during rain)

3. Use glass bottles on the cauldron to fill them with water

4. Each cauldron holds enough water for multiple fills before needing to be refilled

Scaling Up

For larger operations, create multiple cauldrons in rows. You can automate refilling by:

• Positioning them under rain-exposed areas
• Using hoppers and dispensers if your modpack supports automation
• Manually refilling with buckets from a central water source

This setup prevents accidental water source consumption and ensures you always have bottles available without depleting your water blocks.
