Phase Progression

The Overlord transitions through three distinct combat phases as you damage it. Each phase introduces new attack patterns, animations, and difficulty. Watch the boss's health bar and visual changes—these signal when a new phase begins.

Phase Mechanics

Each phase features unique skills and combo attacks. The boss uses custom AI to decide when to summon minions, throw bombs, or activate special abilities. Early phases are more aggressive with physical attacks, while later phases may introduce more complex skill combinations.

Adapting Your Strategy

As phases change, adjust your tactics. If minions overwhelm you in one phase, focus on eliminating them before attacking the boss again. Some phases may favor ranged combat while others reward close-quarters fighting. Pay attention to animation timing—the boss's handcrafted animations telegraph attacks, giving you time to react and dodge incoming damage.
