Creating a Story or Roleplay Scenario
Developing Your Narrative
Think about what brought you to this abandoned village. Are you a survivor rebuilding civilization, an archaeologist uncovering the past, or someone starting a new life? Your chosen role will influence how you interact with and modify the buildings.
Using Architecture to Build Atmosphere
Examine each building's design and imagine its original purpose. A larger central structure might have been a town hall or marketplace. Smaller homes could belong to different families or professions. Use this context to inform your story—perhaps you're restoring specific buildings to their former function, or creating new purposes for them.
Adding Environmental Details
Place items and blocks strategically to suggest a narrative. Leave chests partially unpacked, arrange furniture to show daily life, or create signs with story details. Plant gardens around houses to show cultivation efforts, or leave certain buildings deliberately untouched to suggest mystery.
Evolving Your Story
As you progress, let your gameplay decisions shape the narrative. Build relationships between locations—connect buildings with paths, create a central gathering area, or establish specialized districts. Your base development becomes the physical manifestation of your story.
