Set Up Your First Base in the Castle

Claim Your Living Space

The Island Castle Map spawns you with a pre-built medieval fortress already on your island. Your first task is to choose which rooms will become your main base areas.

Walk through the castle and identify rooms that suit your needs:

• Look for spaces with crafting tables and anvils already placed—these are ideal for your workshop
• Find rooms with good natural light or space for torches to set up your storage area
• Choose a bedroom area away from your work zones to minimize mob spawns near your valuables

Secure and Expand

The castle walls provide excellent protection from mobs, but you'll want to:

1. Light up all interior rooms with torches or lanterns to prevent hostile spawns

2. Check for any open holes in walls or roofs and seal them

3. Add doors to rooms you want to keep private or organized

4. Place chests and barrels in your chosen storage room

5. Set up a bed in your bedroom to set your spawn point

The fortress design gives you multiple courtyards and chambers—use different areas for different purposes like smelting, enchanting, or brewing. The existing crafting tables and anvils are yours to use immediately.
