Expand the Farm Beyond the Starting Plot
Locate the Existing Farm
The map includes a small wheat farm on the sandy tropical island area. This starter farm gives you initial crops, but you'll need more space as you progress.
Create Larger Farmland
To expand your food production:
1. Clear additional flat land near the existing farm or in the castle courtyard
2. Collect water from the ocean or dig down to find underground water sources
3. Create irrigation channels using water blocks—wheat needs water within 4 blocks horizontally
4. Till the soil with a hoe and plant seeds from your starter crops
5. Consider building multiple farm plots for different crops (wheat, carrots, potatoes, beetroot)
Optimize Your Layout
The castle courtyard offers protected space for farming. You can also build upward on the island's flat areas. Plant crops in rows with water channels running between them for efficient harvesting. Add fences or walls around your farm to keep mobs out and crops contained. The tropical island's sandy soil can be converted to farmland—just use a hoe on grass blocks or dirt you've placed.
