Getting Started with the Text Placeholder API Mod
Generating Placeholder Text
The Text Placeholder API Mod provides a simple, flexible service for producing dummy text, useful for layout testing, UI/UX design, and prototyping without real data. You request text from an endpoint, and the mod returns placeholder content you can drop into your project.
The core request is a GET call to the text endpoint. You control the output with optional parameters: paragraphs sets how many paragraphs are returned, words sets how many words appear per paragraph, and theme selects a themed style such as hipster, bacon, or corporate when that theme is supported.
You can request text as paragraphs, sentences, or words, and receive the result in plain text or JSON for easy integration. Because the service is fast and lightweight, it suits frontend testing and rapid prototyping. Simply build your request with the parameters you need, then use the returned dummy text wherever sample content is required.
