Find Out What Items You Need to Consume for Tool Upgrades

Hold Shift While Viewing Upgrades

When you're browsing available tool upgrades and honing paths at the workbench, hold down the Shift key. This reveals the fixed consumable items required to perform each upgrade.

Identify Required Materials

The tooltip will display exactly which items you need to have in your inventory to apply the upgrade. This prevents you from starting an upgrade only to discover you're missing a crucial ingredient.

Prepare Your Inventory

Once you know what's needed, gather the required consumables before committing to the upgrade path. This is especially useful for expensive or rare upgrades where you want to plan ahead.

Navigate Multiple Upgrade Pages

If there are many upgrades available, use the page navigation to flip through different options. Each page shows different upgrade tiers and paths, all with their consumable requirements visible when Shift is held.
