Finding and Tracking Unique Boss Monsters

Activating the Appraisal Eye

To locate unique boss monsters in your world, you must first obtain and equip the Appraisal Eye skill. Once active, this ability grants you access to specialized tracking modes that reveal the location of rare and dangerous creatures.

Using Scan Mode

Enter Scan mode to switch into a third-person camera perspective. This elevated viewpoint allows you to survey large areas of terrain more effectively. Boss monsters will appear highlighted in bright red, making them stand out against the normal environment. Scan mode is most effective when used from high ground or elevated positions.

Remote Analysis

Switch to Remote Analysis mode to examine monster details from a safe distance. This mode lets you read enemy health bars, stats, and other vital information without approaching the creature directly. Use this to assess threat levels before engaging.

Tips

Boss monsters spawn less frequently than regular mobs, so patience is required. Check multiple biomes and return to previously scouted areas periodically. The Appraisal Eye consumes resources while active, so manage your usage strategically.
