Enable Particle Effects on Piston Movement

Understanding Piston Particles

Telepistons Mod can emit particles when pistons extend and retract, adding visual feedback to your redstone contraptions. This feature is optional and can be toggled on or off.

Activating Particles

Access your Telepistons configuration settings. Look for a particle emission or visual effects option. Enable this setting to make pistons emit particles during movement.

Once enabled, whenever a piston extends or retracts, you'll see particles spawn from the piston head. This is especially useful for:

  • Debugging redstone contraptions (seeing exactly when pistons fire)
  • Creating more visually interesting builds
  • Making hidden mechanisms more noticeable

Performance Considerations

If you're running many pistons simultaneously (common in large redstone farms), particle effects may impact performance. You can disable particles globally in the config, or simply leave them on if your system handles it well. Test with a few active pistons first to gauge the impact on your setup.
