Survive and Respond to Active Volcanic Eruptions

Recognize Volcanic Danger Signs

Volcanoes generated by the mod are active and dangerous. Learn to spot and respond to eruption activity.

During volcanic activity:

1. Move away from the volcano's base immediately—lava flows downslope

2. Head to higher ground perpendicular to the volcano's slope

3. Avoid valleys and low terrain where lava will collect

4. Use water strategically to create barriers, but be aware lava may overwhelm defenses

5. If caught in lava flow, sprint uphill or toward solid high ground

Protect Your Base from Lava

If your base is near a volcano, take preventive measures:

• Build on elevated terrain above likely lava flow paths
• Create firebreaks using non-flammable blocks around wooden structures
• Establish water channels that can redirect or cool lava flows
• Keep your base entrance clear of debris and lava sources
• Use the tectonic map to identify volcano locations before settling nearby
• Consider relocating if your base is in a direct lava flow path from an active volcano
