Using the Target Dummy

The Target Dummy is a block added by the Target Dummy Mod. Its purpose is simple: it gives you something to hit. Place it down and attack it with any weapon to see how much damage you deal, without hurting real mobs.

This makes it useful for testing new gear, comparing weapons, or checking enchantment effects in a safe setting. Because the dummy is not a living mob, you do not need to worry about it fighting back, fleeing, or dying in a way that matters. It exists purely as a practice target.

To use it, place the Target Dummy and strike it as you would any enemy. The mod is built around this single block, so there are no complicated steps or extra systems to learn. Once you are done testing, you can leave it in place or remove it like any other block.
