Troubleshoot Heads Not Scaling During Voice Chat
Verify Voice Chat is Working
First, confirm that your voice chat mod (Plasmo Voice or Simple Voice Chat) is actually transmitting audio. Check that:
- Your microphone is enabled and detected in the voice mod's settings
- You're not muted in the voice chat application
- Other players can hear you speaking
- You're within voice chat range (if your mod has distance limits)
Check Talking Heads Settings
Return to Options → Talking Heads and ensure:
- The mod is enabled (not toggled off)
- Scale multiplier is set to a visible value (not at minimum)
- The mod is compatible with your installed voice chat version
Verify Mod Installation
Confirm Talking Heads is properly installed in your mods folder and that you've restarted Minecraft after adding it. If you recently installed or updated the mod, a fresh game restart often resolves detection issues.
Test with Other Players
Have a friend speak into their microphone while you watch their character. If their head scales but yours doesn't, the issue may be with your microphone setup rather than the mod itself.
