Adjust Head Scale Size and Sensitivity
Access the Settings Menu
Open your Minecraft pause menu while in-game, then navigate to Options → Talking Heads to open the mod's configuration screen.
Configure Scale Settings
You'll find sliders and toggles to customize how much a player's head grows when speaking:
- Scale Multiplier: Controls the maximum size a head reaches during voice chat. Higher values make heads grow larger and more noticeable.
- Scale Speed: Adjusts how quickly the head expands and shrinks when someone starts or stops talking.
- Minimum Scale: Sets a baseline size so heads don't shrink too small between speakers.
Fine-Tune for Your Preference
If you're in a large group, increase the scale multiplier so you can easily spot who's talking from a distance. For smaller groups or if the effect feels too distracting, reduce the values. Test your changes in-game by having friends speak into their microphones and watch how the effect responds. You can return to settings at any time to make further adjustments without restarting.
