Make chat bubbles persist longer or disappear faster

Find duration settings

Open the Talk Balloons Mod configuration menu. Search for options labeled "duration," "lifetime," "fade time," or "display time."

Adjust bubble visibility duration

Most configurations allow you to:

• Increase how long bubbles stay visible after a message is sent
• Decrease the fade-out time so bubbles disappear more quickly
• Set a maximum number of bubbles to display simultaneously

Balance readability and clutter

Longer durations help players read messages but can clutter the screen during active chat. Shorter durations keep the view cleaner but may cause messages to disappear before players finish reading them. Adjust based on your preference.

Save and observe

Apply your changes and watch how chat bubbles behave during normal gameplay. Fine-tune the duration until it feels natural for your playstyle.
