Hide chat bubbles for specific players

Access the mod settings

Open your mod configuration menu (usually accessible via the mods list or a dedicated config key). Locate the Talk Balloons Mod settings.

Configure player filtering

Look for options related to player visibility or filtering. Many chat bubble mods allow you to:

• Blacklist specific players whose messages won't display bubbles
• Toggle bubbles on/off globally if you want to disable them temporarily
• Set a rendering distance so bubbles only appear for nearby players

Apply and test

Save your configuration changes. When the listed players send messages, their chat bubbles should no longer appear above their heads, though their text will still display in chat.

If you need to re-enable bubbles for a player, simply remove them from the blacklist and reload your settings.
