Disable chat bubbles in specific situations

Access rendering options

Open the Talk Balloons Mod configuration. Look for settings related to when bubbles should or shouldn't render.

Configure rendering limits

You can typically set:

• Maximum render distance — bubbles disappear beyond a certain block distance
• Disable in specific dimensions — turn off bubbles in the Nether, End, or custom dimensions
• Toggle by game mode — disable bubbles when in Creative or Spectator mode

Adjust performance settings

If you're experiencing lag, reduce the number of simultaneous bubbles that can render at once. This prevents too many bubbles from displaying during busy chat moments.

Test your configuration

Send test messages and move around to verify bubbles appear and disappear according to your settings. Adjust distance or dimension rules as needed for your preferred experience.
