How to Display Tags

Tags are hidden by default to keep tooltips clean. To reveal them:

1. Hold down the configured toggle key (default: semicolon ;)

2. Hover over any item or block

3. Tags will appear in the tooltip while the key is held

4. Release the key to hide tags again

What You'll See

Tags display as a list beneath the item's standard information. Each tag shows the namespace and category—for example, minecraft:logs or forge:ores/copper. This is especially useful when:

• Learning how items are classified in your modpack
• Debugging recipes that depend on tags
• Understanding mod compatibility and item groupings
• Checking if a custom item was tagged correctly

Tags help you understand why certain items work in crafting recipes or machines, even when they don't look related.
