Disable Lighting Effects for Specific Weapons or Situations

Turning Off All Lighting Effects

If you want to disable muzzle flashes and bullet trails entirely:

1. Open the in-game mod options menu

2. Find the TaCZ X Guns Lights Addon settings

3. Set muzzle flash brightness to off

4. Bullet trails will also be disabled

5. Save your changes

Selective Disabling by Attachment

You can configure different lighting behaviors for weapons with different attachments:

1. Access the mod settings menu

2. Look for attachment-specific toggles (silencers, muzzle brakes, etc.)

3. Set each attachment type to your preferred brightness level independently

4. This allows suppressed weapons to have reduced lighting while unsuppressed weapons retain full effects

Automatic Weapon Exclusions

Bows and crossbows are automatically excluded from all lighting effects—they will never produce muzzle flashes or bullet trails, regardless of your settings. This keeps standard ranged weapons visually distinct from firearms.
