Identify Enemy Sniper Positions Using Scope Glare
What Scope Glare Tells You
When an enemy player aims at you through a sniper scope or long-range weapon sight, you'll see a bright glint appear on your screen. This glint is your warning that you're being targeted from a distance.
Locating the Threat
The glint appears in the direction the sniper is aiming from. Watch where the bright flash occurs on your screen—this indicates the approximate angle and direction of the threat. Use this information to take cover or change position.
Reacting Quickly
Scope glare gives you precious seconds to react before a shot lands. Move perpendicular to the glint's direction to throw off the sniper's aim, or sprint toward cover. The glint persists as long as the enemy keeps their scope trained on you.
Coordinating with Teammates
Call out the direction of scope glare to your team using the glint's position as reference. This helps allies understand where enemy snipers are positioned without needing to spot them visually.
Limitations
Scope glare only appears when enemies actively aim at you. Snipers who are scanning or repositioning won't trigger the effect, so remain alert even when you don't see glints.
