How to Sort Tablist Players by Group or Placeholder

Choosing a Sorting Method

The plugin supports several sorting modes. You can sort players by their permission group, by a numeric placeholder value, or by a combination of conditions. Find the sorting section in the configuration and pick the mode that matches what you want players to see first in the list.

Configuring Group Order

If you sort by group, you need to tell the plugin the order of your groups. List them from highest priority to lowest, or the reverse, depending on whether you want staff at the top or bottom. Players without a matching group fall into a default position. Make sure every group name you list matches your permissions setup exactly, or those players will be sorted unexpectedly.

Using Numeric Placeholders and Multi-Condition Sorting

For placeholder-based sorting, specify which placeholder supplies the number and whether higher or lower values come first. This is useful for sorting by playtime, balance, or a level stat. Multi-condition sorting lets you chain rules so ties are broken by a second value, such as group first and then name. After saving and reloading, watch the tablist update and reorder as values change, then fine-tune the rule order until it behaves as intended.
