How to Create Per-Group Prefixes and Suffixes in the Tablist

Defining Groups

In the configuration, find the section that maps permission groups to display properties. Each group entry lets you set a prefix shown before the player's name and a suffix shown after it. Create one entry per group you use on your server, matching the exact group names your permissions plugin assigns.

Assigning Prefix and Suffix Text

For each group, fill in the prefix and suffix fields. These can include color codes and placeholders, so you can show a rank tag, a colored bracket, or a symbol. Keep prefixes short so the tablist does not overflow on smaller screens. If a player belongs to multiple groups, the plugin uses its configured priority to decide which one wins, so order your group entries carefully.

Verifying Per-Player Overrides

If you also want a specific player to have a unique prefix regardless of their group, look for the per-player section and add an entry keyed by that player's name. Save, reload the plugin, and check the tablist in game. Confirm that group members see the correct tag and that your per-player override takes precedence where you set it.
