How to Configure Nametag Prefixes, Suffixes and Visibility

Setting Nametag Prefix and Suffix

Nametags are the floating labels above players' heads. In the configuration, find the nametag section and set the prefix and suffix that appear around the player's name. These can be defined per group or per player, similar to tablist tags, so a staff member can show a rank tag above their head. Use color codes and placeholders to keep them informative but readable.

Controlling Collision and Hiding Nametags

Look for the collision rules option if you want to control how nametags behave when players stand close together, preventing them from stacking awkwardly. There is also an option to fully hide nametags for certain players or groups, which is handy for stealth modes or disguise systems. Enable hiding only where you need it, since hiding nametags globally removes useful information.

Fixing Invisible Player Visibility

If you use invisibility effects, enable the option that corrects the visibility delay for invisible players on older clients. This makes nametags disappear and reappear at the right moment instead of lingering. Save, reload, and test with a potion effect to confirm the nametag hides and returns correctly.
