Identify Lag Issues on Your Server

Monitor Player Connections

Open the Tab list to see the ping of all connected players. If most players show consistently high ping values (typically above 100-150 ms), your server may have network or performance issues.

Spot Problem Players

If only one or two players have significantly higher ping than everyone else, those individual players likely have poor internet connections or are far from the server geographically. This won't affect your gameplay experience with others.

Diagnose Server Problems

If nearly all players show high ping simultaneously, the server itself may be experiencing issues—either network congestion, insufficient hardware resources, or routing problems. Report this to server administrators with the ping data you observe.

Check Your Own Connection

Your ping appears in the tab list alongside other players. If your ping is high while others' are normal, the issue is with your connection, not the server. Consider restarting your router or checking your internet provider.
