Using Synesthesia to Locate Sounds

Seeing Sound in Minecraft

Synesthesia adds a visual overlay that shows where sounds in your world are coming from. Instead of only hearing a noise, you get a visual cue pointing toward its source, so you can tell direction and location at a glance.

This is most useful when something is making noise but you cannot find it. Hidden mobs become easier to track because their sound emissions are marked visually. In modded packs, the same overlay helps you hunt down noisy blocks or contraptions that are hard to pinpoint by ear alone.

The mod can run alongside Extreme Sound Muffler or entirely on its own, so you do not need another sound mod installed for it to work. There are no items to craft or recipes to learn; the overlay is the whole feature. Just play normally and watch for the visual cues when sounds occur.
