How to Stop Other Players from Abusing Syncmatica on Your Server

Why this matters

Syncmatica is powerful: a placement can be shared server-wide and used to guide large builds, and in the wrong hands that can be disruptive. The mod's own description warns that it can have consequences for a server, so plan your permissions before opening it up.

Practical controls

1. Decide who is allowed to share. If the server exposes per-player or per-group share permissions, restrict publishing to trusted ranks and leave regular players with view-only access.

2. Keep schematic distribution separate. Since Syncmatica shares placements, not files, control who receives the actual schematic files — that is the real gate on what can be built.

3. Watch the shared placement list. Regularly review what has been published and remove anything unwanted using the management controls.

4. Limit visibility of placements to the groups that need them rather than broadcasting everything server-wide.

If abuse happens

Revoke the offending player's share permission, delete their published placements, and, if needed, remove Syncmatica access for that rank. Because clients without the mod can still play normally, you can tighten access without locking anyone out of the server entirely.
