Troubleshoot mod not switching tools or weapons

Check your hotbar contents

Switcheroo Mod can only switch to items you're currently carrying:

1. Verify your hotbar (slots 1-9) contains the tools or weapons you expect

2. If your hotbar is full of blocks or irrelevant items, the mod has nothing to switch to

3. Add a pickaxe, axe, shovel, and sword to your hotbar

Verify Sneak isn't active

If the mod isn't switching:

1. Check that you're not holding Sneak (Shift) — this disables switching

2. Release Sneak and try clicking again

3. Test with a simple action: click stone while holding nothing, then with a pickaxe in your hotbar

Confirm the mod is enabled

Some mods can be toggled or disabled:

1. Check your mod menu or configuration screen

2. Ensure Switcheroo Mod is listed as active

3. Look for any in-game toggle keybind (check your controls menu)

Test with different blocks and mobs

Try clicking different block types (dirt, stone, wood) and mobs (zombie, creeper) to see if switching works inconsistently. This helps identify whether the issue is specific to certain items or universal.
