Prevent unwanted switches while building or crafting

Use Sneak to lock your current item

When you need to place blocks, interact with blocks, or use tools without auto-switching:

1. Hold Sneak (default Shift) before clicking

2. Click the block or entity — the mod will not switch your held item

3. Release Sneak when you're ready to resume auto-switching

This is essential for building, as clicking on blocks while holding a sword would normally trigger a switch to your pickaxe or other tool.

Workflow for mixed tasks

When mining and building in the same session:

• Mining phase: Release Sneak, click blocks normally, let the mod switch to your best tool
• Building phase: Hold Sneak, place blocks with your current item (usually a block type)
• Combat phase: Release Sneak, click mobs to auto-switch to weapons

Sprint for maximum effectiveness

While sprinting, the mod may prioritize different tools or weapons based on the mod's balance settings. Experiment with sprinting during combat to see if it affects weapon selection — some configurations reward aggressive play.
