Optimize combat with automatic weapon switching

Prepare your combat hotbar

For PvE and PvP, load your hotbar with different weapons:

1. Include a sword (highest DPS for most mobs)

2. Add a bow or ranged weapon for distance combat

3. Include any specialized weapons (like axes for higher damage per hit)

4. Keep healing items in your hotbar if space allows

Switcheroo Mod will automatically choose the highest DPS weapon when you click a mob. The mod calculates damage output, so a weapon that deals more total damage per second will be prioritized.

Combat tactics

When approaching a mob, simply click it — the mod switches to your best weapon automatically. This is especially useful in chaotic situations where you'd normally waste time manually switching.

For PvP, keep your sword and bow both in your hotbar. Clicking an enemy player will switch to your sword; switching to bow manually or moving away may trigger a switch based on distance and available weapons.

Disable auto-switch for specific situations

Hold Sneak while clicking to keep your current weapon. This prevents accidental switches when you're trying to use a tool (like placing blocks) near mobs.
