Fine-Tune Swinging Motion

The mod allows you to customize how fast and how far your lanterns sway, letting you match the movement to your aesthetic preferences.

Access Configuration Settings

1. Navigate to your Minecraft config folder

2. Open the Swinging Lanterns configuration file

3. Look for parameters labeled swing speed, amplitude, distance, or range

4. Adjust the speed value to make lanterns sway faster or slower

5. Modify the distance or amplitude to control how far they move from their resting position

6. Save and reload your world to see changes

Finding Your Preference

Start with moderate values and test in-game. Faster swinging creates a more chaotic, windy feel, while slower movement looks more gentle and peaceful. Greater distance makes the motion more noticeable from far away, while smaller distances create subtle, refined movement. Experiment with different combinations to match your world's atmosphere—a cozy village might use slow, gentle swinging, while a windswept mountain base could benefit from faster, wider motion.
