Organize Multiple Chests with Consistent Color Schemes

Plan Your Color System

Before coloring multiple chests, decide what each color represents: ores, building blocks, food, mob drops, etc. Write this down so you stay consistent across your storage room.

Use the Eyedropper Tool

Once you've colored your first chest, open the next one and use the Eyedropper tool to copy colors from the first container. Click the eyedropper, then click a colored slot in your reference chest to pick up that exact color.

Apply Colors to New Chests

Paint the same zones in your new chest using the copied colors. This keeps your storage room visually unified and makes finding items faster.

Duplicate Filter Rules

If multiple chests store the same item types, manually add the same items to each filter list in the same order. Alternatively, use Tag Import on each chest to load identical categories.

Label with Item Frames

Place item frames above or beside each chest showing a sample of what's inside. Combined with your color coding, this creates a clear, organized storage system that's easy to navigate even in large bases.
