Set Up Swap Helper for Your First Combat Session

Before entering combat, arrange your items correctly:

1. Place your mace in any hotbar slot from 1 to 9

2. Hold a sword or axe in your main hand (your right hand)

3. Keep your mace separate from your main weapon slot

1. Open your Controls menu (usually in Settings)

2. Search for the Swap Helper or MaceSwap keybind

3. Assign it to a key you can easily press during combat (many players use a side mouse button or a nearby keyboard key)

4. Close the menu and return to your world

Find a neutral mob like a sheep or cow:

1. Hold your sword or axe

2. Press your Swap Helper keybind to toggle the mod on — you should see confirmation text on screen

3. Attack the mob normally

4. Watch as the mod automatically switches to your mace, performs the attack, and returns to your main weapon

5. Press the keybind again to toggle off when you're done testing

You're now ready for real combat!
