Changing Config Options In-Game Without Restarting

Open the mod's config screen

Mods built on SuperMartijn642's Config Lib typically register their own config screen, reachable from the mod list or a dedicated button. Open it to see the categories and options the author exposed. Editing here writes straight to the config file for you, so you avoid hand-editing JSON and the syntax mistakes that come with it.

Apply and reload

After changing values in the screen, confirm or save. The library handles writing the file and, where the mod supports it, reloading the affected values so you do not need to restart. Some options still require a world reload to take full effect — if a change seems not to apply, leave to the main menu and re-enter the world.

Know which side you are on

Options shown may be client-side or server-side. On a server, server-side options are controlled by the server and synced to you, so changing them locally will not stick. Client-side options remain yours to adjust freely. If a setting you want is greyed out or reverts, it is likely server-controlled, and only the server operator can change it.
