Smooth Movement with Vine Grapple Optimization

Why Vine Grapple Causes Lag

Call of Yucatan's Vine Grapple tool performs expensive client-side checks every frame to validate grappling mechanics. These checks run even when you're not using the grapple, creating unnecessary processing overhead that causes stuttering and movement delays.

Activating the Movement Fix

1. Install Superior Tweaks Mod alongside Call of Yucatan

2. Launch your game—the optimization activates automatically

3. Use Vine Grapple normally; it functions identically but without the performance cost

4. Notice smoother movement when traversing terrain, especially in dense areas

What Changes

The mod removes background validation checks that don't affect actual grappling. You'll experience:

  • Fluid movement without micro-stutters
  • Faster response when grappling
  • Better overall world navigation
  • No loss of grapple functionality

Compatibility Note

This optimization only applies when both Superior Tweaks Mod and Call of Yucatan are installed. The grapple works exactly as intended—Superior Tweaks just makes it efficient. If you uninstall Superior Tweaks, the heavy checks return and performance drops accordingly.
