Navigate the Poolroom Corridors Without Getting Lost
Mark Your Path
The endless tiled corridors can feel disorienting. Use torches, wool blocks, or other distinctive markers to create a breadcrumb trail as you explore. Place them on walls or floors at regular intervals so you can always find your way back to your spawn point or a known safe area.
Use Water as a Guide
Notice how water flows through the rooms. The water depth and current patterns often indicate which corridors connect to larger chambers. Follow the water flow to discover new areas, or move against it to backtrack to familiar territory.
Map Key Junctions
When you reach a major intersection or unusually shaped room, stop and build a small landmark—a pillar, a colored block, or a sign. These visual anchors help you remember which passages you've already explored and prevent you from walking in circles through similar-looking halls.
Explore Systematically
Choose one direction and commit to it for a while. Rather than randomly turning down every corridor, explore one "wing" completely before moving to another area. This methodical approach makes it easier to remember the layout and reduces the chance of missing interesting rooms.
