Create a Comfortable Base in the Poolrooms
Choose a Central Location
Select a large, accessible chamber that's easy to reach from multiple corridors. A room near a major junction works well because you can venture out in different directions and always find your way back. Avoid dead-end rooms unless you plan to make them your primary base.
Build Above the Water
Construct a platform or floor above the water level using solid blocks. This gives you a dry space to work, store items, and rest. The elevated platform also makes it easier to see approaching areas and plan your next exploration route.
Set Up Storage and Crafting
Place chests, furnaces, and crafting tables on your platform. Organize them logically so you can quickly access tools, materials, and supplies before heading out to explore. A well-organized base saves time and keeps you prepared for longer expeditions.
Add Lighting and Markers
Place torches or lanterns around your base to create a welcoming, well-lit area. Add a distinctive marker—like a tall pillar or colored blocks—so your base is visible from a distance. This makes it easy to spot your home when you're wandering through the corridors.
