Set Up a Scrolling Sidebar to Display Many Scores

Understanding Scrolling Sidebars

When you have more scoreboard entries than display space, a scrolling sidebar automatically cycles through lines, showing a subset at a time. This keeps your sidebar compact while displaying comprehensive information.

Configuring Scroll Behavior

In your style configuration, set the display type to scrolling and define:

  • How many lines appear simultaneously
  • The delay between scroll cycles (how long each "page" displays)
  • Whether scrolling loops continuously or stops at the end

Organizing Your Scores

Arrange scoreboard entries in a logical order—scrolling displays them sequentially. Group related stats together so players see meaningful information in each cycle. For example, show all player stats in one scroll phase, then server stats in the next.

Testing Scroll Speed

Load your configuration and watch the sidebar cycle through entries. If scrolling feels too fast or slow, adjust the delay value in your style file. Aim for a pace that gives players time to read each section comfortably.
