Sorting and Ordering Players in the TAB Menu

Controlling Who Appears Where

By default the player list is ordered by join order or alphabetically, which is rarely what a server wants. Styled Player List lets you control the ordering so staff, ranked players, or teams appear in a predictable position.

Choosing a Sorting Method

1. Open the mod's config on the server.

2. Find the sorting or ordering option. It typically lets you choose between alphabetical, join order, or a value supplied by another plugin (such as a rank weight or team).

3. If you want rank-based ordering, make sure the source plugin exposes a numeric weight per player, then select that as the sort key.

4. If you want team-based grouping, ensure players are actually assigned to teams; unassigned players will fall into a default position.

5. Save and restart the server.

Verifying the Order

Join with several accounts or ask players to report their position. Check that staff sit at the top (or wherever you intended), that ties are broken sensibly, and that the order stays stable as players join and leave. If the list reshuffles unexpectedly, the sort key is probably returning inconsistent values — simplify it to a single numeric field.
