How to Change the Appearance of the Player List (TAB Menu)

Understanding Where the Styling Comes From

Styled Player List is a server-side mod. That means the look of the TAB menu is decided by the server, not by each player's client. If you are a player on someone else's server, you cannot restyle the list yourself — you can only see what the server owner configured. If you run the server, you control everything.

Editing the Configuration

1. Stop the server (or be ready to reload it) so the config file is not overwritten on shutdown.

2. Open the mod's config file in your server's config folder. It is a text-based config, so any plain text editor works.

3. Locate the sections that control the header and footer text, the per-player name format, and the ordering/sorting behaviour.

4. Change the values to what you want. Header and footer support multi-line text, so you can stack several lines.

5. Save the file and restart the server so the new styling is applied to everyone.

Testing Your Changes

Join with a second account or ask a player to check the TAB menu. Confirm the header, footer, and name formatting all render the way you intended, and adjust spacing or line breaks if something looks cramped.
