Getting Started with Structure Gel

What Structure Gel Does

Structure Gel is an API mod, not a content mod. It exists so that mod developers can create generated structures without writing all the placement, spawning, and block-palette logic from scratch. If you install it on its own, you will not find new dungeons or ruins appearing in your world — it is a library that other mods build on.

The Core Pieces

Two ideas drive the mod. The Block Palette defines which blocks a structure is built from, letting a builder describe a set of materials rather than hardcoding each block. The Gel blocks — Blue, Cyan, Green, Orange, Red, and Yellow — are the working blocks tied to that system. Supporting parts include the Data Handler, which manages structure information, the Dynamic Spawner, which handles where and how structures appear, and the Gel Spreader, which handles placing gel-based blocks outward from a point.

Who It Is For

This is a developer-facing mod. Players normally encounter it only as a dependency required by another mod that generates structures.
