Structure Expansion Mod FAQ

10 questions players actually ask, answered.

How do I actually get the bigger structure block limit to work?
Just place a structure block and set its size as usual — the mod raises the cap automatically, so you can type dimensions far beyond the vanilla limit. If the size field still refuses your numbers, the mod isn't loaded or you're editing a block from a different mod.
What's the maximum size I can save now?
The mod raises the vanilla limit in stages, with later versions allowing structures up to 256x256x256. Older builds of the mod cap out lower, so check which limit your version enforces before planning a build.
Why won't my structure block save a build that's within the new limit?
The most common cause is that the structure block's bounding box extends outside loaded chunks or into unloaded terrain. Stand near the center of the region, make sure all chunks are loaded, and try saving again.
How do I use /structure clean?
Run /structure clean with the name of a structure file you've already saved. It strips air blocks out of that file, which shrinks the file and can make loading faster.
Does /structure clean delete my structure?
No, it only removes air blocks from the saved file — the solid blocks stay exactly where they were. Back up the file first if you're nervous, but the command is meant to be safe.
Why does my cleaned structure look different after loading?
Removing air can change how the structure blends with its surroundings, since gaps that were previously air are now filled by whatever is at the destination. If you need the original air layout, keep an uncleaned copy of the file.
How is the expanded /fill different from vanilla?
The mod raises the volume and coordinate limits on /fill so you can fill much larger regions in one command. The syntax is the same as vanilla, so existing /fill commands still work.
My /fill command says the area is too large — what now?
That error usually means you're hitting a limit the mod doesn't raise, or you're on a version with a lower cap. Try splitting the region into smaller fills, or confirm the mod is actually loaded on the server.
Will this mod break my existing structures or world?
It only changes structure block and command limits, so existing builds and saved structures are unaffected. As always, back up your world before using large fills or saves.
Does it work on a server, and will huge structures lag it?
It works server-side, but very large saves and fills can cause lag spikes while processing. Do big operations when few players are online, and prefer cleaned structure files to reduce load times.
