Gathering Snow Efficiently

Snowballs are crafted from snow blocks, which generate naturally in snowy biomes. To maintain a steady supply, establish a collection point in a snow biome or create an automatic snow farm using water and freezing mechanics.

Manual Collection Method

1. Locate a snowy biome (snow plains, snowy taiga, etc.)

2. Mine snow blocks with a shovel

3. Convert snow blocks to snowballs via crafting

4. Store in chests near your base

Renewable Snow Generation

Snow layers form naturally when it snows in cold biomes. Position yourself in a snowy area during snowfall and collect the layers as they accumulate. This requires patience but produces free snowballs over time.

Storage and Organization

Keep stacks of snowballs in easily accessible chests near combat areas. Since snowballs stack to 64, you can store large quantities in minimal space. Organize by purpose: separate stacks for mob control versus fire mob farming for quick access during fights.
