Troubleshoot Water Behavior and Biome Compatibility
Water Not Flowing as Expected
If rivers aren't forming or water isn't moving naturally:
1. Verify the mod is loaded—check your mod list in-game
2. Create a new world; existing worlds may not have rivers generated in already-explored chunks
3. Explore new terrain far from your spawn point where generation is fresh
4. Check that no conflicting mods are overriding water physics
Biome and Terrain Generator Issues
This mod works with most custom terrain generators, but compatibility varies:
- Some world generation mods may override water placement
- If lakes aren't spawning at different elevations, your terrain generator may be controlling water too strictly
- Dry biomes should show shallow water instead of full lakes—if not, check your biome settings
Performance and Visual Problems
If waterfalls or particles cause lag:
- Waterfall mist is optimized, but many waterfalls together may impact performance
- Reduce particle density in your video settings if needed
- Disable foam effects in the mod config if necessary
Configuration Adjustments
If water behavior doesn't match your preferences:
- Open the mod's configuration file
- Adjust current strength, lake elevation ranges, and bank block types
- Experiment with vegetation spawn rates
- Reload your world to apply changes
