Straw Dummy

Straw Dummy

The Straw Dummy is the single block added by this mod. Place it in the world and strike it to practice combat and test weapon damage.

Because the dummy is meant for training, hitting it lets you see how much damage a given weapon deals without risking a real fight. This makes it useful for comparing weapons, checking enchantments or other damage modifiers, and warming up on attack timing and reach.

It is a practice target, not a threat: it does not fight back, so you can hit it freely and repeatedly. Place one wherever you want a safe spot to test your gear.

See the processes and related sections for how the dummy fits into combat testing.
